Principle
Verified before introduced
Ownership, licensing, financial standing and trading history are examined before a name reaches you.
ArabiaThai
ArabiaThai advises companies moving products, services and capital between the six GCC states and Thailand. We identify counterparties, verify them, make the introduction, and remain engaged until the arrangement is operating.
6
GCC states
Treated as six separate markets, not one region.
5
Sectors
Real estate, F&B, food supply, hospitality, trading.
2
Offices
Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain. Bangkok, Thailand.
3
Working languages
Arabic, Thai and English, in the room.
The firm
Cross-border introductions usually fail for one reason: the person making them has no standing in the market they are introducing you to. ArabiaThai was formed to remove that problem by placing principals on both ends of the same firm.
We act for a single client on each mandate. We establish what you are looking for, search and vet counterparties in the destination market, convene the introduction with one of our own partners present, and carry the relationship through terms, documentation and first execution.
We do not sell lists of contacts, take mandates outside our five sectors, or act for both sides of the same transaction. We are not lawyers or tax advisers; where a matter requires either, we appoint and coordinate local counsel in the relevant jurisdiction.
Principles
Six commitments that govern every mandate, stated here so a client can hold us to them.
Principle
Ownership, licensing, financial standing and trading history are examined before a name reaches you.
Principle
We never act for both sides. Conflicts are disclosed at the outset or the mandate is declined.
Principle
Five sectors only. We decline work outside them rather than run a mandate thinly.
Principle
Our partners hold their positions in these markets rather than servicing them from outside.
Principle
Scope, fee basis and exclusivity are agreed in writing before any work begins.
Principle
We remain through terms, documentation and first delivery until the arrangement operates without us.
Partners
Our partners are not advisers between mandates. They run operating businesses in the sectors we act in, which is where the relationships and the judgement come from.
Services
The work differs depending on which way a client is travelling. Both routes are handled by the same firm, with the partner resident in the receiving market leading.
Asset and developer introductions, sourcing agreements, franchise routes, hospitality partners, company structure and BOI pathways.
Distributor and joint-venture partners across six states, halal certification and import routes, franchise placement, buyer channels, licensing and registration.
Sectors
We decline mandates outside these. Depth in a small number of industries is worth more to a client than breadth across all of them.
Residential, hospitality and mixed-use assets — Gulf capital into Thai developments, and Thai developers seeking a credible GCC buyer channel.
Restaurant groups, café concepts and franchise systems crossing between the markets.
Thailand is among the world's largest food exporters; the Gulf imports most of what it consumes.
Hotel and resort operators, villa portfolios and serviced residences.
Goods and commodity flow between Thai suppliers and Gulf trading houses.
Enquiries
We will respond with whether we can act, which partner would lead the mandate, and what the first stage would involve. There is no charge for an initial discussion, and enquiries are treated as confidential.
