Mandate
We record in writing what you are seeking, in which market, on what terms, and what a successful outcome consists of. Scope, fee basis and exclusivity are settled before any work begins.
The firm
ArabiaThai is composed of two groups who already hold senior positions in the markets our clients are attempting to enter. The firm exists so that an introduction carries the standing of the person making it.
Constitution
Each mandate is led by the partner resident in the receiving market, with the originating partner remaining on the file throughout.
Our partners are introduced by name, with their positions and references, once a mandate is agreed and confidentiality is in place. We do not publish them.
Partners
Our partners are not advisers between mandates. They run operating businesses in the sectors we act in, which is where the relationships and the judgement come from.
Named with the agreement of each business.
Approach
An introduction is worth only what stands behind it. We run an identical sequence each time so both parties know what has been established before they meet.

We identify candidate counterparties and examine ownership, licensing, financial standing and trading history before any name reaches you. Unsuitable matches are discarded rather than forwarded.
iii
We convene the meeting in the destination market with our own partner present and both sides briefed in advance. Language, protocol and expectations are handled so the conversation can be about the business.
iv
We remain through terms, documentation, licensing and first delivery, coordinating counsel and advisers in each jurisdiction until the arrangement operates without us.
Terms of engagement
Set out plainly, so there is nothing to discover later.
A retainer covering search and verification, and a success fee payable on completion. Both are agreed in writing before work begins. We do not charge for an initial discussion.
We act for one party in any given transaction. Where a conflict exists or may arise, we disclose it at the outset and decline the mandate if it cannot be resolved.
Non-disclosure is executed before any counterparty is named. Client identities, terms and documents are not disclosed to third parties without written instruction.
ArabiaThai does not provide legal, tax, audit or regulated financial advice. We appoint and coordinate licensed advisers in each jurisdiction, and clients contract with them directly.
